Miss? Miss? What shall I write about?

A word from the teacher!
Some of my club members have now been blogging for the best part of a year. They have written about school events, their holidays, book reviews and quizzes. But blogging isn't always easy. Over the past couple of weeks, I have noticed a distinct case of 'Writers' block'. It's funny how the kids are now going through exactly the same experience that many adult bloggers have.
Today, Neha found a blogging competition on the National Geographic site and everybody got excited ... for a nanosecond ... then we read the rules about having to be a resident of the USA and having to post the entry! But why? I don't understand why it matters where in the world somebody is to enter a competition online. Isn't the whole idea of the World Wide Web that it is across the whole wide world? Hmmmmmph!!
So now we are reading a few examples of kids blogs from around the world, in search of inspiration! So wherever you are in the world, we welcome your feedback! Feel free to leave comments and encourage our wonderful students to keep going. They are doing a great job!
